Satisfaction Guaranteed
If you are unhappy with a product or assortment, it may be returned, unopened, for a refund or exchange within 15 days of delivery. Between 16 days and 30 days, you may return it for store credit or exchange. If a product is damaged during shipping, we will be happy to replace it.

Returns
Please Note! All returns require authorization from The Spa Shoppe.
Please send us e-mail including your reason for the return to service@spashoppe.com. You will receive shipping instructions and any other necessary information at that time. If an item or items were purchased using a Spa Shoppe discount code it will be ineligible for a return.

Common Sense Caution
Most of our manufacturers' products contain natural aromatherapy essences, oils and extracts derived from plant and other natural sources. Some people may be sensitive or even allergic to one or more of these compounds. A few products contain highly concentrated oils and essences that can burn the skin if they come into direct contact with the skin without dilution. None of these products are intended for internal or medicinal uses. Please read the information on each product before using.

Remember: Candles can be dangerous! Please exercise caution when burning and read the "Candle Burning Tips" below for more information.

Payment Options
The Spa Shoppe accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The Spa Shoppe does not charge any credit cards or process any money orders until your order is shipped.

Debit Cards
The Spa Shoppe accepts Mastercard and Visa debit cards. Please note that your issuing bank may "authorize" an amount slightly higher than the actual order, and that this authorization may not expire immediately after we charge your order. This is not because of a Spa Shoppe policy - we have been told by our bank card processor that many banks that issue debit cards hold this authorization amount for up to 7-10 business days. Please check with your bank for their policy regarding authorizations.

Sales Tax
Products shipped to Georgia residents will be subject to 7% sales tax.

Backorders
As of August 2005 we no longer accept backorders in order to keep costs as low as possible for our customers.

Product Substitutions
Because of the difficulty securing only the highest quality natural essences, oils and aromatherapy bath and body products, our manufacturers may run out of an item that we use in an assortment or gift basket. If this is the case, we reserve the right to substitute a similar type of product, of equal or greater value and quality, in order to deliver an assortment timely and complete.

International Orders
The Spa Shoppe accepts orders for shipping to U.S. destinations only.

Shipping & Handling
Most Spa Shoppe orders are processed and shipped within 24-48 hours of receipt. The Spa Shoppe's preferred parcel delivery service is United Parcel Service (UPS). The Spa Shoppe charges a modest $0.75 handling fee for all orders to cover the costs of packaging materials (e.g. boxes, packing peanuts). Shipping fees are determined based on the package weight and size, delivery method and delivery address, and are usually disclosed at the time you place your order.

Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or any UPS-observed holiday cannot be shipped until the following business day. For a list of these observed holidays, please see the Holidays & Other Store Closings section below.

The Spa Shoppe cannot be responsible for failure of UPS to deliver your order(s) as promised. Non-delivery of packages as a result of inclimiate weather, road and/or airport closures, mechanical failures of transportation, acts of God, terrorism, improperly provided shipping address, unavailability or refusal of delivery, riots, strikes, labor disputes, civil unrest, natural disasters or other disruptions that would prohibit the timely delivery of UPS packages is not cause for refund of your shipping charges. However, The Spa Shoppe will do everything possible to help route your order to the intended recipient in the event of a delivery problem. During holiday seasons (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas) all shipping companies are extra busy, so please order early. To best guarantee delivery during the Christmas season, especially in light of possible snow, sleet and/or icing of roadways and airports, we suggest you place your gift orders on or before December 12.

Holidays & Other Store Closings
The Spa Shoppe observes all holidays observed by UPS and will not ship orders on the following days: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and the Friday immediately following), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. The Spa Shoppe may also close periodically throughout the year to conduct inventory. All customers will be alerted to any upcoming shipping holidays via e-mail order confirmations. Although The Spa Shoppe cannot ship orders during holiday and inventory closings, we will still accept any orders placed during those days and process them as quickly as possible.

Wholesale Ordering Policy
The Spa Shoppe does not accept wholesale orders at this time. We are an online retail store only.

Common-Sense Practices when Using Our Products

Aromatherapy Candle Burning Tips
  • Remove labels and place candle on a heat resistant surface.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children and pets, and follow all other safety warnings.
  • Burn away from drafts and breezes.
  • Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch.
  • On the first lighting, allow candle to develop a nice, large, centered pool of wax; then extinguish and allow to cool.
  • If wick becomes off center, extinguish and reposition wick within liquid wax with a metal spoon; then allow wax to harden with the wick centered.
  • Keep candle free from wick trimmings and other debris.
  • Burn candles on holders and trays designed to avoid damage to furnishings from heat and melted wax.
  • Keep candles away from sunlight, heat sources and UV rays.
  • Discontinue use and discard when 1/2 inch of candle remains.
  • Never pour water on a burning candle.

    Pure Essential Oil Safety Tips
    Essential oils are very concentrated, so it is important to handle them with care. Please read these instructions carefully.

  • Always read and follow all label warnings and cautions.
  • Keep oils tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Don't use undiluted oils on your skin. (Dilute with vegetable oils -- one to three drops per teaspoon.)
  • Skin test oils before using. Dilute a small amount and apply to the skin on your inner arm. Do not use if redness or irritation occurs.
  • Keep oils away from eyes and mucous membranes.
  • If redness, burning, itching or irritation occur, stop using oil immediately.
